One of the interesting fact regarding Endosulfan. In Kerala lots of people suffered and still suffering from various illness and side effect due to usage of Endosulfan in plantation. For last many years, people are complaining it, but Central Government reluctant to bank Endosulfan due to various reasons. Central govt. want to form one committee after another committee for not to ban Endo-Sulfan despite clear evidences and suffering. One Mr. K.V. Thomas opposed the ban of Endosulfan as he is a state minister from Centre.
There is allegation that most of the sufferers belongs to a particular community and some particular district. For e.g. the most affected districts are Kasaragod, Vyanad, Kannur, Calicut
Some interesting stories and allegation is that most of the cash crops like rubber, pepper, coffee, cardamom, tea, etc. holding by large minority groups which have good supporting price and govt. support in the market. While Hindus traditionally cultivating paddy and coconuts etc. have less support from govt. and support prices. Through this ‘program’ govt. engaged to weaken Hindus/ tribals etc. It is alleged that minority have better voice and support in Delhi
It is surprised to note that no religious leaders, political parties representing minorities come out strongly for banning endosulfan which also added suspicion.
Whether I am right or wrong – you readers needed to notice such developments and analyse and collect datas and other information various facts in future also to get clear pictures. Believe it or not, even land reform in Kerala only benefited minorities and some OBCs only. So many such programmes is going on for decades. Another fact about Kerala is that most of the wealth and resources is holding by minority group only – like business, commerce, land etc. especially at city level.
Now the UPA’s turn to prove their innocence and act positively to absolve the above allegations.
